The General Assembly of Al Shamal Club elected Mr. Ibrahim Al-Sada as the club’s president and Mr. Abdullah Shamsan as vice president for the 2024–2028 electoral cycle, both by acclamation, as no other candidates came forward for the positions of president and vice president.

This took place during the General Assembly meeting of the club, which was held yesterday after achieving a legal quorum, with the presence of founding members, active members, and representatives from the Ministry of Sports and Youth, where the election of the president and his deputy was confirmed.

During the meeting, the listed agenda items were discussed, the minutes of the previous meeting were ratified, the president’s report on the club’s activities for the past year was reviewed, and the work program and plan for the upcoming year were discussed. The final accounts for the fiscal year 2023–2024, which ended on May 31, 2024, were approved, and the budget project for the fiscal year 2024–2025 was ratified.

The president of Al Shamal Club expressed his aspiration for the first football team to perform well in the upcoming season. He also announced the signing of Algerian player Baghdad Bounedjah, the former Al Sadd player, who joined Al Shamal Club for two seasons.

Mr. Ibrahim Al-Sada held the presidency of Al Shamal Club for the first time during the previous term from 2020–2024 and aims during his second term to achieve the best results in all competitions.

The first football team of Al Shamal Club finished ninth in the overall standings of the Qatari League for the previous season 2023–2024, with a total of 25 points.
