Under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Girls’ Leadership Center organized an initiative titled “From Paper to the Cloud,” as part of its efforts to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote the efficient use of paper among citizens and companies from November 2 to 6.

This awareness initiative, which involved several entities including the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Ministry of Municipality, and Al Nokhba Recycling Factory, aims to encourage local partnerships and community members in general to adopt environmentally friendly practices, enhance the efficiency of their operations, accelerate processes, and document them using modern technology instead of paper.

The launch of the initiative was attended by Mr. Mubarak Al-Dosari, Head of Youth Centers and Authorities, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Kathiri, representative of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, as well as Ms. Muneera Al-Nuaimi and Ms. Amna Al-Hasani, also from the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry.

The program began with a welcoming speech by Ms. Bashayer Al-Badr, representative of the Girls’ Leadership Center, followed by a speech from Rashid Hamad Al-Suwaidi, CEO of Al Nokhba Recycling Factory, and a workshop presented by Mr. Mahmoud Abdel Hamid from the Ministry of Municipality, General Cleaning Department.

Ms. Najla Al-Hajri, Head of the Girls’ Leadership Center, praised the initiative “From Paper to the Cloud,” organized as part of Qatar Sustainability Week 2025. She described it as an important step toward promoting sustainable practices in the workplace and reaffirming the center’s commitment to achieving environmental and social goals. She stated that the initiative, in cooperation with Al Nokhba Recycling Factory, seeks to reduce paper use in daily operations and transition administrative documents to secure and efficient digital formats.

Ms. Mashael Al-Qahtani, Head of the Programs and Projects Department, confirmed that the initiative has achieved significant successes since its launch, highlighting that this is part of ongoing efforts to fulfill Qatar’s sustainability vision.
