The Friends of the Environment Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is participating in Qatar Sustainability Week 2025 with a series of interactive activities aimed at raising environmental awareness and promoting a culture of sustainable practices among youth and the wider community.

The events are being held from Wednesday, November 5, to Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Friends of the Environment Center booth in Al-Jiwan. Activities include a recycling works exhibition, a workshop on the principles of agriculture, as well as a photo exhibition of the “Qatar Environment Lens” initiative and an exhibition on Qatar’s environmental insects, highlighting the local biodiversity and the importance of its conservation.

In a statement on the occasion, Mr. Fahad Abdullah Malik, Director of Public Relations and Communication at the Friends of the Environment Center, emphasized that the center’s participation in Qatar Sustainability Week reflects its commitment to raising awareness and supporting the country’s sustainable development efforts, particularly by engaging youth as key partners in building a green and sustainable future.

He added that through its programs and activities, the center seeks to promote positive environmental behavior and encourage innovation in agriculture, recycling, and natural resource conservation. He also noted that collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and Youth in this national event demonstrates the integration of governmental and community efforts in achieving Qatar National Vision 2030.
