The Friends of the Environment Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, organized an educational trip to Kahramaa Park under the title “Journey of Knowledge.” A large number of youths participating in the center’s summer activities and Qatari Youth Houses attended the event. This was part of the fifth week of the summer program “I Explore.”

The trip included a workshop led by Mr. Hassan Al-Kaabi, the events and activities supervisor at the Friends of the Environment Center, and environmental activist Ali Taleb Al-Hanzab. The workshop aimed to enhance environmental awareness among the participating youth and educate them on the importance of sustainable practices and biodiversity.

Hassan Al-Kaabi emphasized that the outdoor trip aimed to instill values of environmental sustainability in students and motivate them to take effective steps towards protecting the environment and its biodiversity. He also informed the youth about the importance of preserving local biodiversity, noting that the workshop was part of a journey focused on valuing their role in protecting their local environment, inspired by a love for their country and the importance of preserving its natural heritage and components.

The events and activities supervisor pointed out that the Friends of the Environment Center, through its programs, emphasizes the importance of creating a generation that understands the importance of preserving the environment and its components. The center aims to instill a firm belief that environmental sustainability is closely linked to the nation’s progress and the achievement of sustainable development.
