The Executive Committee of the Qatar Football Association has issued a decision to reconstitute the Local Organizing Committee for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, now named the Local Organizing Committee for Football Events from 2024 to 2034. The committee will be chaired by His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmad Al Thani, with Mr. Jassim Abdulaziz Al Jassim serving as the Executive Chairman.

This committee will oversee the organization of several key events, including the Intercontinental Championship in 2024, the Arab Cup in 2025, 2029, and 2031, as well as the FIFA U-17 World Cup from 2025 to 2029. It is noteworthy that FIFA’s Council has approved Qatar’s request to host the next three editions of the Arab Cup in 2025, 2029, and 2033.
