Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, stated that the championship has become increasingly competitive and exciting as teams move closer to the podium and the opportunity to lift the trophy.
He noted that the quality displayed by the participating teams confirms that the Furjan Fields Championship has evolved into an important sporting and community platform for discovering talent and developing young players. The tournament also supports the Federation’s objective of expanding participation in sports by providing opportunities for amateur players, particularly those not registered with professional clubs, to showcase their abilities.
Al Dosari added that the championship has become a valuable scouting opportunity for sports clubs seeking promising young talent. He expressed his satisfaction with the strong participation from youth players, emphasizing that such engagement aligns with the vision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth to promote sports culture throughout society and establish sport as a way of life.
He further highlighted that the Qatar Sports for All Federation continues to organize a diverse range of community-based sporting activities throughout the year. In 2026 alone, the Federation’s calendar includes more than 850 events, championships, and initiatives, all aimed at encouraging active lifestyles and reinforcing the importance of regular sports participation across the community.
