The Ministry of Sports and Youth held the closing ceremony of the “Jeel Mubader” (Initiative Generation) program on Sunday, 15 February 2026, marking the conclusion of the program’s phases. The initiative comes as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to empower Qatari youth and build their capacities in designing and implementing impactful youth-led initiatives, in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the National Youth Policy.

The program launched on January 18 under the inspiring slogan, “Our Initiatives Are a Response to Our Challenges.” It brought together a distinguished group of young participants from diverse fields—including doctors, inventors, engineers, and lawyers—united by a shared spirit of initiative and ambition.

“Jeel Mubader” served as a comprehensive platform aimed at equipping participants with the tools to transform creative ideas into practical, implementable initiatives. Over a series of specialized training courses and workshops, participants explored key themes such as selecting initiative ideas, defining objectives, implementation mechanisms, impact measurement, and action planning. The program also focused on developing leadership, teamwork, creative thinking, strategic planning, resource management, and marketing skills for initiatives.

After a full month of continuous effort and collaboration, the program resulted in the creation of six innovative youth initiatives:

  • Wiqaya Tech – Toward a Safe Digital Life

  • Azhalha – Take the Initiative and We’ll Empower You

  • Kanaf – Your Mental Health Is Our Priority

  • Darbi – From Ambition to Opportunity

  • Women Entrepreneurs Community

  • Fikra – Your Idea Today… Your Project Tomorrow

The ceremony featured a documentary video highlighting the participants’ journey, followed by a speech by Assistant Undersecretary for Youth Affairs Ahmed Al Harmi. He emphasized that the day marked not merely the end of a program, but the beginning of a lasting impact. He noted that a true “initiative” is not just a written idea or a presentation before a committee, but the moment a person decides to play a role and leave a mark on society.

Al Harmi stressed that youth initiatives born through the program are seeds of goodness expected to grow into lasting contributions that serve the community. He affirmed that the Ministry’s role extended beyond providing a platform—it was about believing in youth and partnering with them throughout their journey from idea to implementation, and from initiative to impact. He added that the Ministry does not seek perfection or the largest initiative, but rather sincere intention and sustained effort. He also thanked the lecturers, organizing team, and all contributors for their efforts in supporting this proactive generation and creating sustainable impact.

The ceremony also witnessed the launch of the “Youth Initiatives Incubator” by Fawaz Al Musifri, Director of the Youth Centers and Organizations Department. The incubator aims to nurture promising ideas and projects by providing guidance, mentorship, and support to transform them into effective initiatives that serve society and reinforce youth as partners in national development.

During the event, a specialized judging panel evaluated the initiatives based on criteria including innovation, feasibility, community impact, and sustainability. The top three initiatives were announced, and the ceremony concluded with a group photo featuring the founders of the six initiatives.

This closing ceremony reflects the Youth Affairs Department’s continued commitment to launching qualitative programs that meet the aspirations of Qatari youth and provide them with an enabling environment to develop their talents and creative potential for the benefit of society and the nation.
