Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the sixth edition of the ‘Qatari Success Festival’ kicked off this evening at Expo 2023 Doha, held in the Botanic Gardens of Al Bida Park. The festival will continue for two days, celebrating the contributions of youth in cultural, scientific, and economic development.

Results from audience voting revealed Monira Al-Obaidli as the winner in the category of Best Qatari Coach, and Al-Jazi Al-Hajri as the winner in the category of Best Photo by a Qatari Photographer. Maryam Al-Mulla secured the Best Drawing by a Qatari Artist, while Sara Al-Baker won the Best Qatari Inventor category. The initiative ‘Qimam’ won the Best Qatari Initiative, and the restaurant ‘Tikka’ received the award for Best Project by a Qatari Entrepreneur.

Mr. Fawaz Al-Misferi, Director of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, expressed that the ministry, in line with its vision and strategy for empowering Qatari youth, supports outstanding youth initiatives such as the Qatari Success Festival. This year, the ministry is a strategic partner in the festival, featuring various activities and events, including the ‘Fazaa Shabab Al-Adham’ and ‘Ambassadors of Adham’ gatherings, as well as some meetings from youth centers under the ministry’s supervision. The ministry’s pavilion also hosts numerous activities for the public.

Al-Misferi highlighted the presentation of the ‘Qatar National Youth Policy’ document after its approval by the Cabinet, and the involvement of youth in the executive program of the policy set to launch next year (2024). Some youth centers showcased their inventions and innovations, such as the Scientific Club, which unveiled new inventions related to the environment and sustainability, aligning with Expo 2023 Doha.

Sponsors of this exceptional youth event were honored during the closing ceremony. In her closing speech, Ms. Mona Al-Othman, a member of the Fazaa Shabab team for support, shared the experiences of the team’s support in Kosovo and the impact of charitable and humanitarian work on others and on the team’s personal development by extending a helping hand to others.

Mr. Talal Al-Ali, the innovator of the ‘Any Need’ application, praised the outstanding success achieved by this exceptional edition of Qatari Success. He described his initiative as an application aimed at serving and facilitating people with special needs, continuously developing over two years to encompass all types of disabilities.

The closing day witnessed intensive sessions of meetings and free training workshops in various fields that catered to the interests of festival visitors. Workshops included Business Development Forum, Qatari Bikers Meetup, the Role of the State of Qatar in Climate Change, and the Shour Shourk program, featuring Jassim Al-Hammadi interviewing Dr. Mohammed Al-Awadi on our creed and identity as inseparable entities. Mohammed Bin Sulaan Al-Mari, the General Supervisor of the Shour Shourk program, praised the success of the sixth edition of the festival, presenting rich activities that witnessed significant public participation.

Various workshops were held, such as Overcoming Your Tension Before Speaking with trainer Labiba Yousif, Think as a Designer with trainer Mohammed Adel, Achievements of the Unknown with writer Bashaer Al-Bader, and Create Your Professional Journey with trainer Mohammed Al-Shahin. In addition to these, diverse activities were presented by the Qatar Sports Union for Everyone, including the ‘Your Healthy Weight’ initiative.

It is worth noting that the Qatari Success Festival, which began its first edition in 2017, enjoys widespread popularity and is considered one of the supportive youth initiatives for ambitious Qatari youth striving for excellence and success.
