Amid a vibrant atmosphere of enthusiasm and engagement with diverse activities and programs, the first round of the “Summer Sports Camp for All” continues at Lusail Sports Hall. Organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the camp welcomes boys and girls aged 6 to 11 and extends over six weeks, divided into three phases as part of the “Summer Sports for All 2025” calendar. Activities are hosted across youth centers, sports clubs, pools, courts, and public parks, with the support of over 27 ministries, institutions, and organizations.
Executive Director of the Federation, Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, confirmed that the second week of the camp at Lusail Sports Hall has seen a remarkable turnout, with participation exceeding 700 children since its launch. Daily activities begin at 9 AM and continue until 1 PM, featuring high levels of enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and strong support from families.
The initiative highlights the importance of early physical activity, particularly for children, and promotes positive behavior through sports engagement. The camp includes various programs such as speed and strength exercises, recreational games, mini football matches, self-defense training (Muay Thai), flexibility and balance sessions, stretching, and muscle strengthening.
Additionally, the camp offers nutritional awareness, religious and moral lessons, and educational workshops designed to develop knowledge and promote healthy behaviors. These diverse experiences help children acquire life skills in a fun and engaging environment, while also creating an ideal summer destination for families seeking safe and enriching experiences for their children.
The summer camp aligns with Qatar’s national vision to promote healthy living, physical fitness, and community well-being through an integrated approach that blends sports, education, and recreation. The program reinforces values such as teamwork, discipline, and fair play.
Importantly, the summer program extends beyond the Lusail camp, offering a wide range of activities tailored to meet the interests and needs of children and their families. Among the standout initiatives are swimming lessons, Muay Thai training, sailing classes, and self-defense techniques, alongside urban and water sports supervised by professional trainers.
By incorporating skating and curling lessons, the Federation has introduced a unique sporting experience, establishing an inclusive environment that combines fun with skill development.
The Summer Sports Program 2025 has proven to be more than just a break from school—it is a valuable opportunity for children to invest their time meaningfully, enhance their skills, and learn the values of sports as a foundation for building strong and healthy communities.
