Doha Girls Center concluded its 2026 summer activities with a closing ceremony held yesterday evening at the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, attended by a number of officials, parents, participants, and representatives of entities concerned with youth and girls.

The ceremony marked the culmination of a diverse summer program organized by the center throughout the school holiday. The program featured a wide range of activities, programs, and workshops designed to help girls make productive use of their free time, develop their skills and abilities, and explore their talents and interests in an environment that combined learning, entertainment, and interaction.

The summer program offered content tailored to the girls’ interests and needs, including cultural, creative, social, and sporting activities, as well as training workshops that helped develop a range of personal skills and encouraged participants to think creatively, take initiative, and work as part of a team.

The summer activities also provided girls with opportunities to gain new experiences and explore different fields, while strengthening communication among participants and encouraging the exchange of knowledge and experiences. These experiences contributed to building greater confidence and enhancing their ability to participate and take responsibility.

The closing ceremony featured a presentation highlighting the key activities and programs held throughout the summer, as well as the benefits participants gained from their involvement. It also included a number of performances and presentations prepared by the girls themselves, showcasing the skills and abilities they developed through their participation in the various programs and workshops.

The ceremony also recognized the participating girls, supervisors, and those involved in implementing the activities, in appreciation of their efforts and contributions to the success of the summer program. The event took place in a celebratory atmosphere reflecting the strong engagement witnessed throughout the center’s summer activities.

Summer programs represent an important opportunity to channel girls’ energy productively during the holiday by providing a safe and stimulating environment that combines learning and enjoyment. Such programs help identify and develop talents while promoting positive values, teamwork, and community participation.

The summer program forms part of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s efforts to support young people and provide quality programs that respond to their aspirations, with a focus on developing their capabilities and encouraging active participation across various fields. These efforts contribute to preparing a generation equipped with the skills and experiences needed for the future.

The ceremony concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing to provide programs and activities aimed at girls and developing their content in line with their evolving interests. This will enable the center to continue serving as a platform that nurtures young talent and provides girls with opportunities to learn, explore, create, and participate in a stimulating environment.
