The third round of the group stage of the 10th edition of the Qatar Youth Football League 2026 kicks off this evening. The tournament is organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in affiliation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and in partnership with the Aspire Zone Foundation. Four strong matches will be played on Aspire pitches, amid expectations of continued high-level performances following the impressive displays seen in the first two rounds.

Today’s matches will see Al Kass Channel face Al Owaineh in the opening game at 6:00 p.m, followed by Al Wakrah against Laffan at 7:00 p.m. The third match, scheduled for 8:00 p.m., brings together Labseir and Fareej Al Zaeem, while Al Shamal will take on Katara at 9:00 p.m. These encounters are expected to be highly competitive, given the close levels among teams and their determination to strengthen their qualification prospects.

The third-round action will continue tomorrow, Monday, with four additional matches featuring Aspire vs. Mesaieed, Msheireb vs. Al Nasr, Al Maida vs. Al Musailah, and Madinat Khalifa vs. Rumaila, in another series of crucial and exciting fixtures that underline the strength of the tournament.

The second round witnessed intense competition and thrilling encounters, highlighting the development of participating teams. A total of 44 goals were scored, reflecting the strong attacking approach, while several promising young talents also emerged.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, the Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, stated that the first and second rounds of the Qatar Youth Football League showcased excellent technical standards among the participating teams. He noted that the open and competitive nature of the matches reflected the rising level of performance, as well as the teams’ strong ambition to win and compete, which was evident in both performances and results.

Al-Dosari added that the third round represents a crucial phase in the tournament, given the increasing intensity of competition and teams’ efforts to enhance their chances of qualification. He expressed expectations that today’s matches would feature an even higher level of competition compared to previous rounds.

The current edition of the Qatar Youth Football League features 20 teams, divided into four groups, with the participation of 400 players. The tournament is the first competition organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation within its 2026 calendar, which includes more than 800 sporting and community activities. It is also considered one of the federation’s most prominent tournaments dedicated to Qatari youth not registered with the Qatar Football Association, providing a platform for young players to practice football and compete within the federation’s vision of promoting sports culture and enhancing community participation.

Matches are held in accordance with organizational regulations that allow the participation of amateur players, are officiated by experienced referees, and are supported by comprehensive technical and organizational arrangements to ensure fair competition.
