His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, crowns the winners of the Qatar Derby of the first category for purebred crossbred horses, in the presence of His Excellency Issa bin Muhammad Al-Muhannadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Racing and Equestrian Club.

Trainer Jassim Al-Ghazali concluded the Derby race by scoring his second victory under his supervision of the dowry Emperor Maximus Holly (Roman Emperor x Lapland), who gave a strong performance with the slogan of Riffa Racing to win the Qatar Derby title from the first category for purebred hybrid horses aged 3 years for a distance of 2000 m, after he outperformed his competitors in the stages the last to win by almost two lengths, led by the fancied Marco Casamento.
