These were organized in collaboration with several national entities such as the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Qatar Red Crescent, the Friends of the Environment Center, and the Qatar Scientific Club.
The closing day also witnessed a local chess championship with the participation of 23 players. In the boys’ category, Abdullah Abdulrahman Al-Buainain won first place, Essa Al-Ziyara came second, and Essa Al-Buainain finished third. In the girls’ category, Amina Al-Buainain secured first place, followed by Nora Al-Hitmi in second, and Dana Al-Misferi in third.
On this occasion, Mr. Mohammed Al-Mudahka, President of the Qatar Chess Association, stressed that the Summer Program was successfully delivered through fruitful partnerships with national institutions. He noted that the program offered participants a wide variety of workshops and concluded with a championship that fostered a spirit of healthy competition among young players.
He further emphasized that the Association seeks, through such programs, to provide a strong foundation for teaching chess basics, developing strategic thinking, and encouraging participants to pursue the game more seriously. The initiative also aims to discover and nurture young talents, expand the player base, and prepare training plans that support the development of skills and abilities among participants.
