On Wednesday, July 31, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with Doha University of Science and Technology, concluded the “Intilaqah” program. This program is part of the ministry’s strategic initiatives aimed at uplifting Qatari youth, enhancing their abilities, and highlighting their role in fulfilling their duties.
Enhancing Participant Competence
Twenty young men and women graduated from the program after attending various workshops. On the last day, a discussion session was held with Dr. Ghada Al-Kuwari, the author of “Functional Doors,” to reinforce what had been presented to the participants during the training sessions. This session aimed to build the participants’ capabilities, help them market themselves, acquire effective communication and persuasion skills in the workplace, and present their personal skills to ensure effective understanding and positive interaction in the future work environment. The program is expected to enhance the participants’ professional competence and help them achieve the best results in their work.
Desired Outcomes
Mr. Fawaz Abdullah Al-Mesifri, Director of the Youth Affairs Department, confirmed that the Ministry of Sports and Youth has utilized all its resources to make this event successful and achieve the desired outcomes outlined for the program. He added that Qatari youth need these skills and other abilities to enter the labor market, aware of what awaits them and what is expected of them. He emphasized that empowering youth is a priority for the Ministry of Sports and Youth, which has launched several strategic projects to achieve Qatar’s 2030 vision and the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s strategy.
