The Aspire indoor running track came alive the day before yesterday with vibrant energy and a large family turnout, as the second round of the Sport for All Children’s Race brought together 300 young participants aged 6–12. The event featured 800-meter and 1-kilometer running competitions, held as part of the Sport for All Summer Program 2025, organized by the Qatar Sport for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in cooperation with Aspire Zone Foundation.

The event was not limited to running alone — the Federation also offered a variety of side activities that added a special touch to the competition atmosphere. These included archery, speedball, and bodyweight fitness exercises, all designed to enrich the children’s sporting experience and diversify the activities available to them, giving them opportunities to learn and enjoy at the same time.

This race is one of the key highlights of the Sport for All Summer Program 2025, whose activities continue across sports fields, halls, clubs, youth centers, public parks, and schools, with the participation of numerous entities representing ministries, institutions, organizations, and shopping centers. Running until August 7, the program reflects a comprehensive vision aimed at promoting physical activity and encouraging a healthy lifestyle among all members of the community, especially children and school students during their summer break.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sport for All Federation, praised the exceptional atmosphere of the second edition of the Children’s Race at the Aspire indoor track. He emphasized that the event created a vibrant scene combining the competitive spirit of the young participants with the enthusiastic support of families, showcasing the community’s passion for sports at all times for their physical and mental benefits.

He added that the Sport for All races at Aspire are held in a perfect, climate-controlled environment that motivates participants to stay active, reflecting the Federation’s vision of making sports a natural part of daily life.

The Children’s Race at the indoor track stands out as one of the flagship events of the Sport for All Summer Program 2025, continuing the program’s mission to offer diverse sports and entertainment activities during the summer holiday. It aims to make the best use of free time in a fun and beneficial way, embodying a national vision to instill a healthy and active lifestyle in Qatari society through integrated initiatives that support the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s strategy to build a community more aware of the importance of sports and their role in enhancing quality of life.
