Thanks to the strong turnout and great enthusiasm from families and children over the past three months, the summer camp for children—organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth—continues to deliver diverse sports and recreational activities in its fourth and final round at Lusail Sports Hall, reaching its conclusion this Thursday. The camp has brought together boys and girls aged 6 to 11 in an energetic and vibrant atmosphere that continues to inspire excitement and joy.

Part of a comprehensive summer program extending over eight weeks in four successive stages, the camp has hosted activities across sports halls, club playgrounds, youth centers, public parks, and schools. Summer Sports for All 2025 has seen the participation of 28 entities from ministries, institutions, and community organizations, making it a distinguished model of collaboration aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging all segments of society—especially children—to engage in physical activity in a safe and enjoyable summer environment.

In parallel, the swimming program at Al Arabi Sports Club continued from Sunday to Wednesday for boys, while Muay Thai training sessions were held at Lusail Sports Hall, offering self-defense skills for children.

Over the past seven weeks and the current eighth week, the camp has recorded unprecedented participation, with nearly 3,600 boys and girls taking part. The program combined movement and fun in a holistic experience of sports and recreation, enhanced by strong family presence, as parents joined their children in moments filled with joy—strengthening family bonds and highlighting the vital role of families in nurturing a love for sports among the younger generation.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, explained that the Summer Sports for All camp at Lusail, as part of Summer Sports for All 2025, has reached its fourth and final stage after a rich series of sports and recreational events across venues in sports halls, youth centers, and public parks. He noted that the remarkable turnout from families and children throughout the three months encouraged the Federation to extend the summer program to accommodate growing numbers and ensure that more boys and girls benefit from its offerings.

He added that the camp’s eighth week represents the continuation of an exceptional summer that brought together sports, education, and entertainment, making Lusail Sports Hall a comprehensive educational and sporting destination that meets the needs and aspirations of participants. The program has succeeded in building healthier and more active generations, offering not only sports enjoyment but also fitness training, speed and strength exercises, mini football matches, self-defense (Muay Thai), stretching, balance and flexibility drills, muscle-strengthening sessions, table tennis, as well as recreational activities, group games, cultural and educational programs, health awareness workshops, religious seminars, and sessions on traffic safety and civil defense—providing a fully integrated experience that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit.
