Under the representation of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Al Dana Girls Center organized a dialogue session titled “Youth Voices in the Circle of Influence” as part of the celebration of International Youth Day, observed annually on August 12.

The session hosted a distinguished group of Qatari leaders and trainers, with the participation of over 30 young women from the center. Speakers included Ms. Wadha Nasser Al-Jaber, Chairperson of Al Dana Center, Ms. Wadad Ali Al-Badr, administrative coach and trainer, Ms. Shaikha Al-Shersheni, life skills and leadership trainer, and Ms. Muneera Mohammed Al-Rashidi, professional development coach.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Al-Jaber welcomed the attendees, affirming that Qatar’s celebration of International Youth Day reflects its commitment to empowering young people and enhancing their role in developing their local communities, broadening their leadership horizons, and strengthening their decision-making skills.

She emphasized that this approach aligns with the wise leadership’s vision of preparing a generation capable of sustaining the nation’s development journey. Young people, she noted, are the driving force for achieving sustainable development goals through their creativity, innovative ideas, and problem-solving abilities.

The speakers highlighted the importance of empowering young women to take initiative, present their ideas confidently, and transform them into impactful projects that serve society. Ms. Al-Rashidi stressed that technology has become a cornerstone of modern life, urging young women to utilize it effectively to achieve development goals.

Meanwhile, Ms. Al-Shersheni outlined practical steps for designing youth initiatives, starting with identifying goals and studying community needs, forming enthusiastic teams, and evaluating outcomes. She encouraged participants to ensure every initiative is rooted in strong values that benefit society.

The session also featured inspiring contributions from younger participants, including Aisha Al-Kuwari (14 years old), who shared her experience as an ambassador for sustainable development goals. Speakers praised the role of families in instilling values from an early age, with Ms. Wadha Al-Kaabi emphasizing the importance of parental support and trust in nurturing ambitious daughters.
