The fourth and final round of the track racing series, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, concluded at the Aspire indoor track. The event saw a large family participation amid enjoyable sporting and competitive atmospheres, with a notable presence of various age groups.

The event, held the morning before last Friday, was filled with exciting sports and entertainment moments, as families gathered to accompany and encourage their children to participate in the diverse races, which featured time categories suitable for different ages: 15 to 30 minutes for adults aged 17 and above, 10 minutes for juniors aged 7 to 17, and 5 minutes for children aged 3 to 6.

Following the competitions, the top three winners in each category were awarded colorful medals and cash prizes. All participants who completed their race distances also received honorary prizes to encourage continued participation in upcoming races and the ongoing practice of sports.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, affirmed that the track running races have become a vital platform to boost family participation in sports activities. He noted that the final round witnessed wide family and children participation, reflecting the positive impact of such races in establishing the concept of sports as a lifestyle that brings families together in a lively and energetic environment.

Al-Dosari described this community event as a successful model in engaging various social groups, reinforcing the Federation’s goals of promoting a culture of sports for all and strengthening family bonds through simple and accessible activities like running, which attract all ages.

He also praised the broad participation from one round to the next up to the final day, viewing it as a clear indicator of societal awareness regarding the importance of family sports events and a strong motivation to continue developing such initiatives for public health and community sports.

He confirmed the Federation’s commitment to continue organizing quality events that open opportunities for Qatari and resident families to practice sports, aiming to realize the Federation’s vision of making sports an integral part of every individual’s life in the community.
