As part of the 2026 summer camp activities at Al Khor Sports Club, under the supervision of the Department of Youth Centers and Institutions at the Ministry of Sports and Youth and under the slogan “Our Summer for Our Youth,” the Youth Committee organized an introductory workshop for summer camp participants about the Aoun Search and Rescue Team initiative, one of the most important youth volunteer initiatives dedicated to providing support and assistance to land and sea recreational visitors in various areas of the country, completely free of charge and driven by volunteer work and social responsibility.

The initiative team reviewed the team’s duties and the assistance it provides to citizens and residents whose vehicles experience emergencies in sandy and muddy areas, in addition to supporting official authorities in search operations for missing persons in all areas of the country, completely free of charge and driven by social responsibility and volunteer work.

For his part, Hamad Ahmed Al Muhannadi, Chairman of the Youth Committee, affirmed that presenting the initiative to the summer camp youth aims to introduce them to the role of search and rescue teams, promote a culture of volunteer work among them, and raise awareness of safety procedures and dealing with emergency situations.
