Excitement, engagement, and activity – a true embodiment of the events held as part of the Summer Sports for All Camp, currently taking place at Lusail Sports Hall. The camp targets boys and girls aged 6 to 11.
Organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA) for a period of six weeks, the camp falls under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth’s “Summer Sports for All 2025” program. This initiative takes place across multiple venues, including sports fields, youth centers, public parks, and schools, with the participation of 28 government and private entities. It aims to promote healthy lifestyles and encourage all community segments—especially children and students—to stay physically active during the summer break.
The first round at Lusail Sports Hall saw remarkable participation, with over 1,000 children attending over the past two weeks. The camp is held weekly from Sunday to Thursday, offering children a rich and engaging experience through a variety of sports and recreational activities.
Family presence added to the camp’s vibrant environment, encouraging interaction, energy, and enjoyment. The program showcased strong family-institution cooperation, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to raise a healthy and active generation.
Mr. Abdulla Al-Dosari, Executive Director of QSFA, stressed that Lusail Summer Camp is more than a seasonal activity—it is a holistic sports and educational experience that integrates various aspects of development. He highlighted the increasing community response and emphasized the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to promote sports culture among youth through diverse, engaging programs that foster community participation.
He also underscored the importance of utilizing the summer break to promote healthy habits and positive behavior, pointing to the high level of community response and enthusiasm during the first round. This marked a powerful start to a summer filled with meaningful activities that blend sports, health awareness, and entertainment to attract children and inspire them to participate in group activities.
The Lusail Summer Camp offers a wide range of programs including team sports, physical fitness training, speed and agility drills, strength and balance exercises, and mini football matches. Children also receive training in shooting and passing skills, self-defense games, and table tennis.
Beyond sports, the camp includes awareness sessions on healthy nutrition, educational and religious workshops, light and engaging lessons on traffic safety, all designed to enrich the children’s experience and provide them with a comprehensive and beneficial summer journey under the banner of “Summer Sports for All.”
