Al Shaqab claimed the title of the 15th edition of the Furjan Fields Football Championship, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, In partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, after defeating Al Wakrah by 2–1 in the final match held at the Ain Khaled Furjan Field on Tuesday evening.

The final was attended by Mr. Abdulrahman Abdullah Hassan Al Malki, Assistant Undersecretary for Sports Affairs at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and Mr. Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation.

Following the conclusion of the match, Al Shaqab was awarded the championship trophy and gold medals, while runners-up Al Wakrah received the silver medals in recognition of their strong performance throughout the tournament.

The road to the final saw four teams reach the semi-final stage: Al Kheesa, Al Wakrah, Al Wukair, and Al Shaqab. In the semi-finals, Al Wakrah secured its place in the championship match with a narrow 1–0 victory over Al Kheesa. Al Shaqab, meanwhile, delivered an impressive performance to defeat Al Wukair 4–0, earning a place in the final and ultimately going on to lift the title.

The championship, organized as part of the Qatar Sports for All Federation’s community sports program, continues to provide an important platform for amateur footballers to compete, develop their skills, and engage in organized sporting activities. The tournament also plays a significant role in promoting participation in football and strengthening community engagement through sport, in line with the objectives of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Federation’s broader mission of making sport a way of life for all members of society.
