Under the supervision of the Youth Affairs Department of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the youth team at Al-Rayyan Sports Club conducted an awareness workshop about the dangers and harms of drugs under the title “No to Drugs.” The workshop covered important ways for young people to avoid falling into drug abuse, such as engaging in sports, not isolating themselves at home in separate rooms, choosing good company, maintaining regular prayers, strengthening religious convictions, and occupying free time with beneficial activities like participating in clubs and youth center events, as well as other activities offered by youth institutions in general.

This awareness and training workshop is considered one of the best workshops that clubs, youth centers, organizations, and institutions should ensure to provide to their members to emphasize and convey the message about the dangers of drugs and the necessity to stay away from them. Therefore, there is a focus on this awareness workshop to benefit everyone.

In this regard, Mr. Faisal Al-Hammadi, head of the youth team at Al-Rayyan Club, emphasized the importance of the workshop in raising youth awareness about the harms of drugs and the negative consequences of this dangerous habit. He stated, “Young people should make good use of their free time and benefit from activities that are advantageous to them, whether cultural, sports, or other beneficial activities, while warning against bad friends who play a significant role in leading their friends into deviation and drug use. The youth team at the club is keen on holding purposeful lectures and attracting the largest number of participants to attend these lectures and discuss topics that are important to the youth.”
