Al Maida team was crowned champion of the Al Dhakhira Youth Center Football Championship, organized by the Youth Committee at Al Khor Club in cooperation with the Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The championship featured 12 teams with 152 Qatari players. The closing night witnessed an exceptional football evening under the lights of the FIFA World Cup stadium last Sunday.

The final round ended with a festive atmosphere and a notable crowd presence. Al Maida team won the championship cup after defeating Al Khor team in the final match 4-1. After the match, Fawaz Al Mosaifri, Director of Youth Affairs at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, and Hamad Al Muhannadi, Chairman of Al Dhakhira Youth Center, awarded players of both teams with colorful medals, trophies, and financial prizes.

The final match was full of strength and challenge and was decisively won by Al Maida. Mohammad Faris scored two goals, while Nasser Al Shehi and Tamim Al Kurbi each scored one. Al Khor’s lone goal was scored by Mohammad Al Mohammedi.

Individually, Mohammad Hijazi won the best goalkeeper award, and Abdullah Al Deyani was the tournament’s top scorer. Abdullah Al Dosari said the Al Dhakhira Youth Center Championship is not just a football competition but a platform to discover talents. The tournament matches reflected the spirit of competition and showcased the remarkable skills of promising Qatari youth. The final was an exciting, thrilling evening from start to finish. Al Dosari praised the crowd, which added a special touch to the final.

Hamad Al Muhannadi congratulated Al Maida on winning the 2025 Al Dhakhira Youth Center Football Championship after a strong and distinguished performance throughout the tournament. He praised the fair competition spirit and the strong performance of Al Khor, which contributed to making the final more intense and exciting, positively reflecting on the tournament’s quality and level. He also noted the high level of preparation from all participating teams.

Finally, Al Muhannadi thanked the audience, who enriched the championship and completed the beautiful scene on the closing night. He expressed his gratitude to the Qatar Sports for All Federation for their continuous support and valuable contribution to organizing the championship.
