Under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the Qatar Sports for All Federation is organizing a special sports event aimed at training young girls in karate. The training sessions take place in the indoor hall at Al Luqta Park, specifically targeting the age group of 6 to 10 years old, as part of the “Sports for All” initiative’s commitment to providing diverse sports activities for different segments of society.
The training sessions start at 4:00 PM and continue until 5:00 PM, in a safe and private environment, aiming to encourage girls to practice sports from an early age, develop physical skills, and learn self-defense techniques. The weekly sessions feature a family-friendly atmosphere, with mothers accompanying and encouraging their daughters to participate. The sessions are supervised by specialized female karate coaches who provide advice and instructions to beginners on the fundamentals of the sport. Friendly competitions are also held during training to help participants practice some skills and rules of the game.
The training sessions see great enthusiasm and engagement from the participants, who are eager to learn and practice. Their families express appreciation for the federation’s role in organizing sports activities directed especially at young girls, aligning with aspirations to promote a culture of sports, build a healthy and aware generation, and emphasize the importance of self-defense sports, which greatly contribute to character building and boost self-confidence among children.
The weekly event at Al Luqta Park is not only focused on sports but also includes entertaining segments that add a lively and fun atmosphere, helping to attract the young participants and provide a comprehensive sports experience combining learning, training, and enjoyment.
Through its extensive annual calendar of over 750 activities and events this year, the Sports for All Federation seeks to reaffirm its commitment to providing comprehensive sports programs that cater to both women and young girls. It organizes various recreational, educational, and training activities that go beyond teaching physical skills—they unleash children’s energy and develop their abilities to fulfill their ambitions and their families’ aspirations. The federation encourages sports practice by diversifying the events and activities it offers continuously, which are not limited to a single sport.
The “Sports for All” program organizes a variety of tournaments and activities suitable for different age groups, including running races, football, swimming, table tennis, fitness competitions, and other sports. Additionally, the federation supports school activities across the country to spread the culture of sports for all and promote a healthy lifestyle widely in society.
