The curtain has closed on the Al-Fursan Summer Table Tennis Championship, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in collaboration with Al Khor Sports Club and under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The tournament was held as part of the “Summer Sports for All 2025” program, which launched on June 29 and continues until August 7 with the participation of 28 entities from various ministries, institutions, and schools.

The championship witnessed a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere throughout the two-day competition, with strong public engagement. The tournament concluded with a medal ceremony for the top three winners, celebrating a well-organized and technically successful event.

The final round took place yesterday at Al Khor Sports Club and featured 30 players aged 12 to 18 competing at high technical levels. After a series of intense and competitive matches, Eyad Hani Al-Muhallawi clinched first place, taking home the gold medal and championship trophy. Hamza Al-Mahdi secured second place with the silver medal, and Saif Ghanem Al-Jalil came in third, earning the bronze medal.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the championship, noting the strong participation and public attendance. He emphasized the popularity of table tennis among youth and the importance of such events in promoting a healthy lifestyle, encouraging community members to stay active—especially children and young people—throughout the summer.

He highlighted the Federation’s efforts to offer a variety of activities through the “Summer Sports for All” program, utilizing the summer break to foster physical activity and promote values such as discipline, sportsmanship, and self-confidence.

The Al-Fursan Table Tennis Championship is one of several events launched by the Federation this summer, including the Lusail Sports Hall Camp, swimming lessons at various sports clubs, self-defense training (Muay Thai), and activities held across five youth centers and sports clubs. These programs also cover maritime sports, kayaking, and new winter-themed activities such as skiing and curling, which are included for the first time this year.

Additionally, the program features the “10K Mall Walk Challenge,” a unique community-focused event that has garnered a strong response from the public.
