Under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, Al-Dana Center organized the first meeting of the Initiatives Council as part of the “SAS Program.” The program included a workshop for the Initiatives Council conducted by the trainer and head of the center, Mrs. Wadha Nasser Al-Jabr, at Al-Dana Center for Girls. The meeting targeted girls aged 20 to 39. The program also includes follow-up, consultation sessions with specialists to develop content, review annual plans for initiatives, and review the work, marketing, and financial plans.

 

The center announced that the basic conditions for accepting initiatives include that the initiative owners be between the ages of 15 and 39, that the initiative not have profit goals, that it not be supported or incubated by another entity, and that the number of initiative members be no less than three people. The “SAS Program” relies on training in establishing the initiative, especially in areas (planning, design, marketing), leading work teams, and managing events. The “SAS Program” also provides logistical support to initiative owners by enabling them to benefit from the facilities at Al-Dana Center through meeting rooms.
