Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Minister of Sports and Youth, the Youth Committee of Al Arabi Sports Club organized the closing ceremony of the Preventive Education Program for Protecting Children from Risks as part of the second edition of the “Enough” campaign.

Several government entities participated in the program, including the Ministry of Education and Higher Education represented by the Programs and Activities Department, the Ministry of Interior represented by the Studies and International Affairs Department and the General Directorate for Drug Control, and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs represented by the Call Management.

During the 3-month program, more than 30 educational lectures and workshops were organized for participating schools, with over 2,000 participants. The lectures and workshops covered various aspects aimed at educating children about the risks of drugs, smoking, addiction to electronic games, and other issues.

Additionally, a competition was held alongside the campaign, with wide participation across five areas: art exhibition, theatrical performance, short film, school radio, and short story. Schools participated with eleven art exhibitions, seven theatrical works, four short films, over fifty short stories, and five school radio programs, all aligned with the preventive education campaign aimed at protecting children from risks.

During his speech at the ceremony, Mr. Mohammed Saeed Al-Amri, Head of the Youth Committee at Al-Arabi Club, stated that the campaign aims to fortify and protect society and prevent drugs from reaching individuals by raising awareness within the community. The campaign seeks to deliver its preventive message to as many community members as possible, targeting all societal segments.

He added that during the three-month campaign, various talents and creativity were discovered, including artistic paintings, collaborative creative videos reflecting the campaign theme, participation in morning radio shows, short stories, diverse talents in public speaking, poetry, Quran recitation, theatrical performances, and more.

At the end of the ceremony, winners, participating entities, supporters of the campaign, and participating schools were honored.
