The Qatar Sports for All Federation, under the guidance of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, concluded last Thursday the “Autumn Sports for All” camp for boys and girls aged 6–12. The camp featured various sports and recreational activities at Lusail Sports Hall, lasting one week, with the participation of 350 children, starting from October 26, coinciding with the school holiday.

The closing day activities began at 9:00 a.m. and continued until 1:00 p.m., in a family-friendly atmosphere full of energy and fun, with significant participation from boys and girls in multiple sports activities. Children enjoyed a variety of events within the camp program, which combined sports, entertainment, and learning. Activities included bodyweight exercises, speed, strength, stretching, and flexibility training, in addition to group games and running races, mini football and volleyball tournaments, basic self-defense training through Muay Thai, table tennis, and programs to enhance muscle strength and balance, along with various recreational games aimed at developing children’s skills in a safe environment under the supervision of specialized trainers.

Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, expressed his happiness with the high turnout at the “Autumn Sports for All” camp and the family atmosphere, with many parents attending with their children, encouraging participation and interaction. With 350 children participating, this reflects the role of families in nurturing a love for sports among the young generation and demonstrates community cooperation in promoting healthy lifestyles while motivating children to engage in physical activity.

The Executive Director confirmed the Federation’s commitment to organizing diverse, attractive sports and community activities that encourage spending free time engaging in physical activity. He noted that the camp provides an excellent opportunity for children, offering a wide range of activities that allow them to choose according to their interests, fostering sports participation through the Autumn Camp.

The children responded positively, engaging with the camp’s activities with great enthusiasm and energy, while gaining knowledge beneficial for their future. Parents also expressed their appreciation for the Federation’s efforts in organizing the Autumn Camp, which provided a wonderful opportunity for their children during the school holiday to benefit from diverse sports and recreational activities, and expressed their desire for similar events to continue in the future as part of the Sports for All programs, which instill the values of participation and teamwork and encourage children to practice sports.
