The second round of the group stage of the 10th edition of the Qatar Youth Football League 2026 will take place this evening. The tournament is organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in affiliation with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, in partnership with Aspire Zone Foundation, with four competitive matches scheduled tonight on Aspire pitches.

Today’s fixtures begin with a match between Ushat and Fareej Al Zaeem at 6:00 pm, followed by Al Shamal versus Labseir at 7:00 pm. Al Khor will then face Al Owaineh, before the evening concludes with a match between Al Kass Channel and Laffan at 9:00 pm.

The opening round, which was held on Aspire pitches, reflected the intensity and competitiveness of the participating teams, producing a total of 16 goals across four matches. The games featured strong technical performances and a high competitive level, confirming the teams’ readiness for the tournament. The second round will continue tomorrow, Monday, with four additional matches featuring Al Maida vs Azghawa, Al Mesaimeer vs Madinat Khalifa, Mshereib vs Aspire, and concluding with Al Nassr vs Mesaieed.

The tournament features the participation of 20 teams divided into four groups. Group One includes Labseir, Ushat, Katara, Al Shamal, and Fareej Al Zaeem. Group Two consists of Al Kass Channel, Al Khor, Al Wakrah, Al Owaineh, and Laffan. Group Three includes Al Maida, Azghawa, Rumeilah, Al Mesaimeer, and Madinat Khalifa, while Group Four comprises Aspire, Al Hamala, Al Nassr, Mesaieed, and Mshereib, with a total of around 400 players taking part in the competition.

Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, stated that the first round witnessed good technical standards and a high competitive spirit among the teams. He noted that the tournament represents the federation’s first major activity of 2026, as part of a packed calendar of diverse sporting events and championships organized throughout the year. He emphasized that the Qatar Youth Football League is one of the federation’s most prominent tournaments dedicated to Qatari youth who are not registered with the Qatar Football Association, serving as a platform to discover and develop young talents and provide them with the opportunity to practice football.

The competition is held in accordance with regulations that allow the participation of amateur Qatari players who are not registered with the Qatar Football Association, excluding players from the amateur league, futsal, and beach soccer. Each match is played with nine players on the field, while team rosters include a minimum of 14 and a maximum of 20 players. Matches are officiated by experienced referees, ensuring fair competition and contributing to raising the overall level of play.
