Aspire hosted a new round of the 2026 Track Running Series, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The seventh and final round, held on the indoor Aspire track, featured strong participation from various age groups, including men, women, children, and senior citizens, reflecting the growing popularity of track running events.

The latest round marked the conclusion of the running series, which was held from June through August and featured approximately 14 races, including open races for different categories and races dedicated specifically to women.

The seventh round attracted a total of 548 participants, including 221 men and women competing in the open race across different age groups. The races were divided according to participants’ ages, with adults aged 17 and abovecompeting in races lasting between 15 and 30 minutes, youth aged 7 to 17 competing for 10 minutes, and children aged 3 to 6 competing for 5 minutes. Results were determined based on the highest number of laps completed by each participant.

Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, said the growing quality and scale of participation in community sports activities is clearly reflected in the Sports for All track running series. He noted that the increasing turnout from one round to another provides strong motivation to continue organizing more events as part of the series.

He also highlighted the strong participation of Qatari men and women, noting that their involvement extends beyond attendance to competing for top positions and recording strong results and performances.

Al Dosari added that this continued growth demonstrates the ability of track running events to reach a wider audience of running enthusiasts and successfully attract increasing numbers of community members to participate in sport.
