The Qatar Sports For All Federation, under the umbrella of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, is organizing a wide range of diverse sports events as part of its ongoing efforts to promote community sports. The Federation places special emphasis on family-oriented sports, aligned with its vision of making sports a way of life and spreading the culture of physical activity among the largest possible number of citizens and residents. This is achieved by organizing a series of sports and recreational events that bring together all members of the family.
The Federation organizes a variety of events targeting all family members—children, youth, men, women, and even the elderly. In this context, many activities are currently taking place, including the Schools Football Championship, hosted by Al-Zubair Bin Al-Awwam Primary School for Boys. Yesterday’s matches featured strong competition among fifth and sixth grade students, characterized by good sportsmanship and concluded with the honoring of the winning teams and participants.
Along the same lines, the second round of the women’s sports and recreational event series for senior women kicked off earlier this week. These events are organized in cooperation with the “Ehsan” Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care, with the participation of 45 women from the center. The activities will continue throughout the month.
Additionally, the Federation is organizing the “Sports for All” track race series at Aspire, consisting of four rounds held every Friday. Three rounds have been completed so far, with the final one scheduled for this coming Friday. These races are open to all age groups and have seen enthusiastic participation from families.
As for younger girls, the second round of the beginners’ karate championship began earlier this week at Al-Luqta Park. The event will continue for a month and features strong participation from girls aged 6 to 10.
