The National Cyber Security Agency has announced the launch of the third edition of the Summer Youth Cyber Security Camp, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The camp will run for three weeks.

This edition reaffirms the Agency’s commitment, represented by the National Cyber Security Academy, to building a digitally aware generation capable of protecting its cyberspace. Hosted at Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys, the camp welcomes approximately 400 students, including 200 boys and 200 girls aged between 13 and 17 years, from various public and private schools across the State.

The Summer Youth Cyber Security Camp is organized as part of the Agency’s ongoing efforts and plans to develop national capabilities and enhance cyber security awareness among young people by providing a specialized educational environment that enables students to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, thereby preparing a generation capable of addressing cyber security challenges and supporting the State’s digital transformation journey.

For the first time, the summer camp enables registered students to participate remotely, allowing them to follow the training programmes and educational content through the e-learning platform. This aims to expand the programme’s reach and provide a wider segment of students with the opportunity to participate, whether by attending at the camp venue or from their homes.

The camp programme covers six core pillars: Fundamentals, Networks, Ethical Hacking, Web, Systems, and Cyber Defence, delivered through lectures and interactive workshops. Students attending in person also take part in practical exercises supported by specialized tools, including the virtual “TryHackMe” platform.

The programme adopts a game-based learning approach and goal-oriented progression, featuring group challenges such as “Escape the Virus” and “Solve the Crime Mystery”, which require students to complete complex tasks, in addition to competitive tournaments, creative workshops and educational field visits.

The camp also includes dialogue sessions with a select group of cyber security experts from the government, private and academic sectors. These sessions are designed to inspire young people, provide them with practical professional experience, and highlight the evolving skills now required by the labour market.
