Lusail Sports Hall hosted the third edition of the Ramadan “Sports for All” race in an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and energy. The event was organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth and in cooperation with Education City.

The race took place in the multi-purpose indoor hall as part of ongoing efforts to promote sports culture and encourage a healthy lifestyle, continuing a series of Ramadan races that were originally scheduled during the holy month but postponed due to an exceptional suspension period.

The competition ran from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and saw strong participation from men, women, children, and the elderly. Around 400 participants from different nationalities took part, competing across multiple distances including 10 km, 5 km, 2.5 km, and 400 meters. The varied categories allowed everyone to participate according to their abilities, creating an inclusive sporting experience.

The event featured a strong family-oriented atmosphere, with families participating together across different race categories. This scene reflected the federation’s goal of promoting physical activity as a lifestyle for all members of society. The event also included warm-up exercises and a variety of sports and recreational activities supervised by qualified male and female trainers, ensuring a comprehensive experience for participants.

Abdullah Al-Dosari, Executive Director of the Qatar Sports for All Federation, described the race atmosphere as excellent, highlighting the strong turnout from different age groups, ranging from 3 to 64 years old. He noted that Qatari participants accounted for 228 out of the total number, an encouraging indicator of growing interest in sports and its success in attracting diverse segments of society.

He added that the success of the event is the result of close cooperation with Qatar Foundation and the continued support of Education City, emphasizing that this partnership strengthens efforts to spread sports culture and promote health and fitness, contributing to building a more active and vibrant society.

The federation also announced the opening of registration for the fourth edition of the race, scheduled to take place on Friday, the 24th of this month at Education City, through the “Sports for All” app. This comes in response to the increasing demand for participation in sports activities and the success of previous events, as well as strong family participation, which encourages the federation to launch more race series in the future.
