The Qatar Sports for All Federation Announces Its Summer 2025 Activity Calendar

The Qatar Sports for All Federation has announced its new summer activity schedule, featuring participation from 27 entities representing various ministries, government bodies, and institutions across the country.

During a press conference, the federation revealed the details of the summer calendar, which will be held in club halls, youth centers, and public parks from June 29 until August 7. The activities will target all age groups and social segments with a variety of events including fitness training, Muay Thai self-defense, chess, summer and recreational activities for children, as well as awareness sessions and swimming programs.

The summer program, accessible through the Sports for All Federation app, will conclude with tournaments in six different sports, promoting competition and sportsmanship. These include Muay Thai classes for boys aged 7 to 14 at several clubs and youth centers such as Al Wakrah, Al Shamal, Al Ahli, Qatar SC, and youth centers in Simaisma, Barzan, Dhuain, and Dukhan over six weeks.

The 2025 Sports for All summer camp will target children aged 6 to 11, featuring sports, awareness, and religious programs that emphasize healthy nutrition, speed and strength exercises, football, recreational games, Muay Thai, and workshops to develop skills and positive behavior.

The federation places strong emphasis on the “365 Days of Activity” program, offering daily fitness sessions for men in Aspire, Al Gharafa (air-conditioned), and Al Rayyan parks, and for women in Al Luqta Park. The program targets participants from ages 7 to 65.

The summer calendar also includes a learn-to-swim program for children aged 7 to 12, conducted in partnership with sports clubs at equipped pools, under the supervision of specialized trainers. These sessions will take place at Al Arabi and Al Wakrah clubs, as well as at the Jamilia Youth Center.

Summer 2025 will also feature a new round of the “Your Healthy Weight” program in collaboration with Dana Center for Girls, running every Wednesday from July 2 to August 20. The summer program will conclude with several tournaments aimed at fostering competition and community participation, including a beach volleyball tournament at Katara, a chess championship at the Chess Training Center, and competitions in table tennis, babyfoot, football, and fitness.

Regarding the summer program, Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Sports for All Federation, stated that the initiative is an annual community project organized under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, with extensive partner participation to reach as many regions and community members as possible, aiming to promote physical activity through diverse activities. He praised partners for their contributions and engagement in making the program successful.

Activities take place across various locations in Qatar under the supervision of qualified coaches. The federation is keen on expanding participation and attracting a large number of people from all societal segments including youth, women, and children. Events also include activities at Farjan fields promoting walking, running, and reserving football pitches, supporting a healthy lifestyle within residential neighborhoods.

Regarding women’s sports, Al Dosari highlighted that the summer program will feature a women’s sports evening every Tuesday at the Education City, in cooperation with Qatar Foundation, lasting five weeks. These sessions offer privacy and include fitness training, stretching, walking on the stadium track, and group games such as badminton and volleyball. The program also strengthens collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education through sports and recreational activities for school students aged 6 to 16 during morning hours at various schools and educational facilities.

Al Dosari reviewed statistics from last summer’s program (2024), which included 80 fitness sessions with 5,801 participants of all ages and categories. The Muay Thai training program attracted 1,886 participants across more than seven locations, the Sports for All summer camp had 2,060 participants, the women’s evening in Education City recorded 1,160 participants, and 11,190 people used 18 Farjan fields.

The federation also participates in the “Kafu” summer camp in cooperation with Eid Cultural Center, the Raed Talented Camp, and other activities including “Girls of Kaaban” and the “My Summer Scientific” program with the Qatar Science Club for children aged 7 to 14.
