The Qatar Sports for All Federation, a partner of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, organizes a wide range of sports programs and activities dedicated to women and girls as part of this year’s Sports for All calendar. The diverse activities aim to promote physical activity among this important segment of society, while recognizing the role of women in the community and seeking to encourage greater participation in sports.

The Sports for All Federation has announced a new and renewed package of sports activities for women and girls, led by Women’s Evening, held every Tuesday at Education City Stadium in cooperation with Qatar Foundation. The program includes a variety of competitions in volleyball, basketball, fitness, and badminton. Over the past three years, several additions have been introduced to further develop this dedicated program, which focuses broadly on women’s sports. The program’s successive rounds have also contributed to the formation of a number of women’s teams across different sporting competitions.

The Sports for All Federation has also announced a new series of summer races for women, girls, and children of all ages during the coming month. Registration is now open for the races, which will take place at the Aspire Indoor Track on September 18 and 25, and October 2 and 9, starting at 5:00 PM. The races have been divided into different time categories, with 30- and 15-minute races for adults, 10-minute races for juniors, and 5-minute races for children. Participants can register for the races through the Qatar Sports for All Federation app.

Abdullah Al Dosari, Executive Director of the Federation, stressed the importance of women’s sports and the need to include women in the community sports system, catering to different age groups, from young girls to older women. He said: “During the summer period, we organized around 38 diverse tournaments and activities aimed at enhancing women’s participation in sports and community activities.”
