The short races are returning to Qatar’s public parks, bringing participants back to the green spaces of Rawdat Al Hamama, Al Gharrafa, Rawdat AlKhail, and Umm Al Seneem as part of the Summer Sports for All Race Series 2026, organized by the Qatar Sports for All Federation in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The four-race series will begin on Friday, September 11, at Rawdat Al Hamama, followed by the second race at Rawdat AlKhail Park on September 18. Al Gharrafa’s air-conditioned park will host the third round on September 25, while the series will conclude at Umm Al Seneem Park on October 2.
The races have been divided according to age groups and designated time periods. Adults over the age of 17 will compete in 30-minute and 15-minute races, while juniors aged 7 to 17 will compete in a 10-minute race, and children aged 3 to 6 will take part in a 5-minute race. Registration is available through the official Qatar Sports for All Federation app. The return of short-distance races to public tracks and running routes forms part of the Summer Sports Program 2026, launched by the Sports for All Federation last June. The program featured numerous sports activities and events and received a strong response from the community, with approximately 36,100 people participating in its various activities and events.
