Doha, September …, 2026:

The Ministry of Sports and Youth organized the second edition of the “You’ve Got This” program, with the participation of approximately 80 young people aged 14 to 18, from September 4 to 5. The program forms part of the Ministry’s youth programs and activities aimed at developing young people’s skills, enhancing their personal and leadership capabilities, and promoting the values of teamwork, self-reliance, and responsibility.

The program, organized in cooperation with the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association and Saif Al Gharaya Youth Center, is based on the concept of “learning by doing.” Participants took part in a range of tasks and challenges requiring cooperation, planning, and decision-making, alongside water games, challenge activities, group competitions, and scouting programs and skills. These activities contributed to developing their capabilities and strengthening their team spirit and sense of initiative.

In this context, Mr. Fawaz Al Mesaifri, Director of the Youth Centers and Institutions Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, emphasized that “You’ve Got This 2” is a comprehensive youth experience combining challenge, learning, and entertainment. It features a diverse range of activities and practical experiences designed to suit the interests of the targeted age group, giving participants the opportunity to discover their abilities and develop their skills in an interactive and motivating youth environment.

He noted that the program forms part of the Ministry’s efforts to support quality youth programs based on participation and practical experience, contributing to character building and skills development among young people. He also highlighted the importance of continuing to develop youth programs in line with their aspirations and interests while creating a positive and sustainable impact.

For his part, Mr. Ahmed Al Ansari, Deputy Director of Saif Al Gharaya Youth Center, affirmed that organizing the second edition of “You’ve Got This” reflects the Center’s commitment to developing its programs and building effective partnerships with various national institutions and organizations. Such partnerships contribute to providing diverse youth experiences that combine enjoyment and learning and give participants the opportunity to discover their abilities and develop their skills.

Al Ansari explained that “You’ve Got This 2” was designed as a comprehensive experience for young people rather than simply a series of activities. Participants face practical situations and challenges that require cooperation, planning, decision-making, and responsibility, while also relying on themselves to complete a number of daily tasks.

For his part, Mr. Ghanim Al Kuwari, Commissioner General of the Qatar Scouts and Guides Association, emphasized that the cooperation in implementing “You’ve Got This 2” reflects the importance of partnership and integration between youth and scouting institutions in providing programs that contribute to building young people’s character and developing their capabilities. He noted that the scouting movement is fundamentally based on learning by doing and developing initiative, discipline, self-reliance, and teamwork.

Al Kuwari added that the Association’s participation in the program stems from its role in equipping young people with scouting and life skills through practical experiences that place participants in situations requiring planning, cooperation, responsibility, and decision-making. He stressed that such programs strengthen young people’s self-confidence, develop their leadership skills, and instill positive values and a commitment to serving the community.

The program includes a “Treasure Hunt” game, during which participants navigate a series of stages, tasks, and puzzles to reach the final objective. The activity relies on quick thinking, concentration, planning, teamwork, and the distribution of roles among team members, helping develop communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

The program also places particular emphasis on promoting self-reliance and responsibility through practical experiences in which participants take responsibility for a number of their daily needs, including preparing and cooking their own meals. They are also responsible for organizing tasks and distributing responsibilities among themselves, reinforcing the values of discipline, initiative, cooperation, and self-confidence.

“You’ve Got This 2” builds on the previous edition, with an enhanced program content and the addition of a range of new experiences, challenges, and scouting activities. This provides participants with a more diverse and interactive experience that combines adventure, challenge, learning, teamwork, and self-reliance.
