The second day of the “Ekbes” 2025 Beach Volleyball Tournament, in its third edition, continued today at the Old Doha Port courts. The second round of the tournament saw exciting results, with the City of Khalifa, Mangosteen, and Al Adeed teams securing strong victories, boosting their chances of advancing to the next stages.

In the highlight match, the City of Khalifa team defeated Al Wakrah team in straight sets, 21-15 and 21-17, earning their first three points in the tournament and proving their readiness for the upcoming rounds. Meanwhile, Mangosteen triumphed over Aspire Academy with a clean sweep, winning 21-14 and 21-13, establishing themselves as one of the strong contenders for the championship.

On the other hand, the Al Udaid team achieved a decisive victory over Al Jasra team, ending the match with 21-18 and 21-16, remaining one of the teams competing for top positions. The competition continues with fierce matches as teams strive for advancement to the final stages.

The tournament has also seen a large turnout of spectators, reflecting the tournament’s success and the enthusiasm of both participants and the audience. It’s worth noting that the tournament also features strong competition in various categories, with monetary prizes for the winners aimed at encouraging athletes and contributing to the development of the sport in Qatar.

The tournament will continue until next Friday, when the teams qualifying for the semifinals will be determined, leading to an exciting final match that will mark the culmination of the 2025 edition.
