The Qatar Sports for All Federation, affiliated with the Ministry of Sports and Youth, has signed a cooperation agreement with the Public Authority for the Care of the Elderly. This agreement aims to make the sports activities organized by the federation accessible to as many community members as possible, including the authority’s members, while raising awareness about the importance of sports participation. The agreement was signed yesterday afternoon at the authority’s headquarters, in the presence of Mr. Abdullah Al-Dosari, Head of Activities and Events at the federation, and Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Ahmed Al-Maraghi, Assistant Director of the Care and Guidance Department.
Al-Dosari stated that the agreement represents a qualitative initiative within the framework of the federation’s social responsibility. As the executive arm of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, the federation is dedicated to organizing community sports activities that engage a wide range of individuals and open opportunities for all demographics to practice sports regularly through various events and activities. He emphasized the federation’s commitment to collaborating with all relevant bodies and authorities in the country to participate in the sports and recreational activities it organizes throughout the year.
This year’s agenda includes over 720 events, some of which are held daily for both men and women in public parks as part of the “365 Days of Activity” program. Additionally, the federation hosts weekly and monthly events and collaborates with various organizations for specific global observance days, such as World Autism Awareness Day, Cancer Awareness Day, Obesity Awareness Day, World Diabetes Day, and International Day for the Elderly. Al-Dosari pointed out that the events agenda is updated regularly in coordination with different organizations involved in partnership with the Qatar Sports for All Federation.
