His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, crowned the first-place winners of the Founder’s Cup race organized by the Qatar Endurance Racing Club today at the Marathon Village in Sealine, for a distance of 119 km. The jockey Hassan Ali Rashid AlMarri, riding the horse “Diklik Sulaiman,” owned by the Al Mazrouh Stud, under the supervision of trainer Hamad Ali Rashid AlMarri, won first place in the Founder’s Cup Endurance Race, and the jockey Khaled Sanad Ali Al Naimi, riding the horse “Diraz R Lan,” owned by Abdulwahab Adulrazzaq Al-Abdulwahab, came in second place. The jockey Abdullah Tahous Saif Al-Naimi came in third place on the horse “Duke HALM,” owned by Ahmed Hassan Malallah Al-Hammadi and under the supervision of trainer Mohammed Tahous Al-Naimi. In fourth place came Lee Tracy Camelli on the horse “EFLR Bolino”, owned by the Al Shaqab Endurance Team and under the supervision of coach Saad Mohammed Al Dosari, then in fifth place was Saeed bin Ali Al Balushi on the horse “Tomke Wild Seuss”, owned by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani and under the supervision of Ahmed Salem Al Balushi.The race was held for “119 km” and included four stages, the first for 39 km, the second for 35 km, the third for 25 km, and the fourth for 20 km.It is noteworthy that the Qatar Endurance Racing Club was established in 2021 and is considered an extension of the Qatar Endurance Committee, which was established in the early 1990s. The State of Qatar is considered one of the first countries to organize endurance races at the Gulf, Arab and Asian levels. His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Endurance Racing Club, thanked His Excellency Mr. Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali, Minister of Sports and Youth, and everyone who contributed to the success of this race, and extended his congratulations to all the winning riders in the race, which is considered one of the most important races. Which the committee holds every year, emphasizing the development of endurance races in Qatar and the high level of riders. He said that the competitions were strong and witnessed great participation from the riders, especially since the tournament has the name of a great occasion that is special to all the Qatari people.
