The Qatar Football Association (QFA) was established in the 1960s and is considered one of the leading sports federations in the State of Qatar. It is also a principal member of the Qatar Olympic Committee.
Objectives of the Association:
• To organize and develop the sport of football in the State of Qatar at all levels.
• To supervise local and international competitions and tournaments held in Qatar.
• To prepare the national teams for regional and international participation.
• To promote the values of fair play and sportsmanship among players, clubs, and fans.
• To collaborate with the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and other sports bodies.
• To support clubs and develop technical, administrative, and refereeing staff.
• To contribute to enhancing Qatar’s position and presence on the regional and international sports scene.
