Mawater Center was established by the Minister of Culture and Sports Decision No. (3) of 2014. Its aim is to empower youth, promote their talents, and support Qatari youth initiatives. The center organizes championships and youth gatherings related to automobiles, as well as attracting young people, developing their hobbies, exchanging ideas, and developing their talents in the field of automobiles. This decision was later amended by the Minister of Sports and Youth Decision No. (231) of 2020, transforming Mawater Center into the Sealine Qatar Racing Club- Mawater.
Club’s Responsibilities:
The Club is specialized in achieving efficiency and optimal utilization of the Sealine Qatar Racing Club, contributing to developing the skills of young people in dealing with cars and motorcycles, and investing their leisure time in learning and practicing various activities related to classic cars. It provides the necessary means and services for conducting all activities, competitions, and events that benefit Qatari youth and society. The Club aims to empower young people to understand the positive aspects of automobiles and how to deal with classic cars. It also promotes road safety culture among the youth to reduce traffic accidents. The Club coordinates with relevant authorities regarding traffic safety legislation and conducts training workshops on updating automobile. Moreover, it organizes automobile-related events, connects with heritage, raises awareness about responsible automobile use, and disseminates traffic safety principles through training programs. The Club supports innovators and outstanding individuals in the field of automobiles, encourages tourism through communication and participation, and organizes local, regional, and international competitions and contests.
