Al Duhail Sports Club is one of the teams competing in the Qatar Stars League. It is located in the Al Duhail district of Doha and was established in 2009 under the name Lekhwiya Sports Club.
The club began its journey in the Second Division League before being promoted to the First Division (Professional League), where it took part starting from the 2010–2011 season.
Since its establishment, Al Duhail has progressed with steady and well-balanced steps toward achieving consecutive successes. The football team is considered one of the strongest and most prominent teams not only on the local sports scene, but also at the regional and Asian levels.
