Al Arabi Sports Club was established in 1952. In 1972, after the merger of Al Wahda and Al-Tahrir Clubs, it became officially known as Al Arabi Sports Club. It is considered the most popular sports Club in the State of Qatar, with its fan base reaching 43% of the country’s population according to the latest survey conducted by the Asian Football Confederation in 2021. The Club has earned several titles, including the People’s Club title, as well as the title “Dream Team,” which was given to the football team in the early 1990s due to the championships they won. Additionally, the volleyball team has dominated local competitions since the early 1970s. The official colors of the Club are red and white. The current president of the Club is Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani.
